Town Square

The moon cast its gentle glow upon the town of Satyadāsa. The air was alive with the hum of nighttime activity, drawing you towards the spirited commotion in the distance. As you approached, the rising clamor became discernible—a clash of voices in heated debate.

Navigating through the crowd, you discovered two men standing in the middle of the town square, their faces contorted with anger as they exchanged fervent words. Tension hung thick in the air, the atmosphere charged with conflicting emotions. The crowd, unable to contain their disapproval, attempted to silence one of the men, drowning his voice in a sea of disapproving murmurs.

In a decisive moment, Aevisia, the town Mayor, interrupted the feud. A quiet hush settled over the gathered assembly to hear what the Mayor has to say. Addressing the contentious situation, she spoke with unwavering poise,

The town Mayor, Aevisia, a magical black cat wearing a pendant in the middle of town in the moonlight.

“Free speech is one of our most coveted rights! Many citizens from other Kingdoms & Queendoms are much less fortunate and do not have this right. If we do not allow people to express challenging thoughts and ideas, it destroys our conflict resolution skills, limits our capacity to understand different perspectives, it removes any chance at achieving agreeable compromises, it creates aggressive tribalistic echo chambers, and overall deteriorates our ability to effectively communicate with one another. You don’t have to agree with what this man is saying, you don’t even have to like what this man is saying, but he absolutely has the right to say it.”

Her words resonated through the night, a declaration of the town’s commitment to principles that transcended personal opinions—a testament to the spirit of tolerance and open discourse that helped define and create balance in the essence of the community.

Webring Rules

Please be sure to read the following rules carefully.

  1. Please provide content warnings if you have NSFW areas of your site.

  2. This is an 18+ ring due to some submissions potentially having NSFW content. Do not submit an application if you are under 18.

  3. Absolutely NO child or animal abuse material, be it sexual, violent, or otherwise abusive.

  4. Nothing illegal.

  5. No websites where business is the primary focus.

  6. No social media profiles or social cards as your submission (ex. twitter profile, linktr.ee, etc).

  7. Nothing malicious (scams, phishing, malware, viruses, doxing, troll/drama/harassment sites, etc.)

  8. The Webring Script must be added to the page you’d like users to land on in order to function.
Most of these rules will be common sense for most folks. Please note that this webring allows for free speech. You will not be excluded from this ring regardless of your views should you choose to express them on your site. Everyone deserves a voice, regardless of who agrees with it or doesn’t. Every webmaster holds different views and posts a variety of content. This does not mean members share the same sentiments as myself or other members.

If you have any questions regarding the webring, please refer to the Webring FAQ here.

How To Join

  1. Carefully read the rules.
  2. If you feel your website would fit in with this webring, add the webring code (shown below) to a page on your website that you’d like people to land on (this is usually your index, home, or landing page).
  3. Once step #2 is done, fill out the application form at the bottom of this page.

Your link will become active in the webring as soon as it’s accepted. You will receive an email with the verdict either way! If you don’t receive an email, be sure to check your spam folder in case it ends up in there.

Webring Script

IMPORTANT: Copy and paste the code into the HTML file of the website page you want people to visit. In both parts of the code that says “YOUR-URL-GOES-HERE”, but sure to replace that with your own URL/Website link

(NOTE: make sure when you paste your link that you do not accidentally paste an additional https:// next to the one that is already there as this will break the link. Only paste your URL that comes after the https://)

Generally, you should paste the code on the landing/home page of your website as that will be the first page people see when they visit you from this ring. However, if you’d prefer ring visitors to land on a page relevant to the ring (such as your book blog, or other book-related section of your site), then make sure that is the link you paste in the code as well as the one you provide in the submission form below.
